Where do I start?

There are a lot of new shooters and a lot of experienced shooters that are getting into competitive pistol shooting. For some it is indoor bullseye, others it might be rimfire steel events such as the NSSF Rimfire Challenge. We have a lot of shooters asking "where do I start?"

These shooters may have already purchased a Ruger MKIII and now looking to upgrade it. The aftermarket parts available for this pistol can be overwhelming for an experienced competitor and even more so for somebody just getting started.

We wanted to make this process as simple as possible so we took a few of our most popular accessories and combined them into one kit. The Pistol Competition Kit includes an Accurizing Kit, Bolt Tune-Up Kit and our CNC Machined Disconnector.

So what will that kit do for you? It will give you the shooter a crisp, clean 2.25 lb trigger pull, more consistent firing pin strikes, eliminate those score killing failures to extract and as an added bonus the kit will save you money over buying items individually.

Not sure which kit you need? You can check out this previous post for a complete explanation but here is a quick overview.

If you have a Ruger MKII, 22/45 (non-MKIII Version) you will want our Pistol Competition Kit for the Ruger MKII. If you have a Ruger MKIII or MKIII 22/45 and want to eliminate the magazine disconnect feature you will still want our MKII Pistol Competition KIt. This will come with everything you need to do this.

If you have a Ruger MKIII or 22/45 MKIII and would like to keep the magazine disconnect feature as is from the factory you will want our Pistol Competition Kit for the Ruger MKIII.

Order your kit today and take your pistol to the next level!
