The new Laminated Thumbhole Stock for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown is an ambidextrous stock that is available in a variety of colors. It is CNC-machined in the same way as all of our laminated wood stocks. Most stocks are manufactured on a duplicator; we prefer to do ours one at a time. This allows us to machine the stock in a way that the inletting is done while the stock blank is at its most rigid. This allows us to machine the inletting with much tighter tolerances than the conventional method of cutting the outside first.
