One of the best things about trade shows is the people you get to meet and connect with. The NRA Show this April was no exception. I was introduced to one of the best speed shooters in the world, KC Eusebio. We discussed what KC was looking for in a rimfire competition firearm and the one thing that kept coming up was reliability. We also talked about some of the features and finishes that come standard on our 22 LR rifles and pistols and how they apply to the shooting sports.

After a few follow up phone calls, we decided to send KC a Scorpion and Ultralite for testing. KC wanted to make sure that the firearms would perform as advertised. A call from the range shortly after the guns were received confirmed they did!

We are excited to announce that KC has joined Team Volquartsen. KC commented "I am absolutely thrilled to be apart of the Volquartsen family and look forward to a successful competition shooting season with the most reliable .22 in the industry"

So who is KC Eusebio?

KC's father got him into shooting at the age of 8, and by the age of 12 he had become the youngest person to achieve USPSA Grandmaster status. He then honed his skills after joining the US Army as a member of the Army Marksmanship Unit. His list of accomplishments since then speaks for itself. This past weekend, KC competed at the US IPSC Nationals held in Florida. He was "first place overall all match winner."

The event is a challenging 16 stage format. As you can imagine, shooting in Florida this time of year is hot and humid! KC's ability to perform at such a high level in these conditions is a credit to his endurance as well as his physical and mental strength. It was very interesting to visit with KC and hear how he trains, not only on the range but also in the gym, all in an effort to gain any edge he can.

KC had this to say about his most recent win, "This is a great warm up match for the upcoming US IPSC World to be held in France. I am proud to be able to represent the Volquartsen name at the highest level of competition and soon on the big stage in France for World Shoot 2017."
