Don't Overlook This

Earlier this month, I was fortunate enough to spend a couple of days at the 2018 Rimfire World Championship. The best part about attending these events is getting to talk to so many of the competitors. We talk equipment, strategy, and anything else that may come up, whether it's shooting related or not.

One of the benefits of talking to competitors during the match is hearing of problems they experience while competing. If you were to follow shooters, such as overall winner Kolby Pavlock and open champion Cole Busch, the one thing you would've noticed is they shot all 16 stages without a single malfunction. This is critical when the match was decided by less than a quarter-second!

What was one of the biggest issues? Magazines seemed to come up time and time again. A number of competitors could be seen heading back to their bag or vehicle to swap out magazines in hopes of a fix.

An easy solution to improve magazine function is to install our Magazine Follower Buttons into all of your Ruger MK series of magazines. This is something we do with every magazine that is shipped with one of our Scorpion pistols. We feel so strongly about it that we also include this button on every factory Ruger Magazine we sell. This is done at no additional charge on both the Ruger MKIII Magazines and the Ruger 22/45 MKIII Magazines that we use for our 1911 style Scorpion.

Another benefit I have found with these Magazine Follower Buttons is they make loading magazines much easier on the thumb! As somebody that, for whatever reason, doesn't remember to bring a magazine loader to events this becomes a big deal.
