A Simpler Option

Have you ever racked your brain trying to decide on the perfect option? Only to then realize a simpler, better answer was right in front of you. I think we have all been there at one time or another - me probably more than most if I am being honest!

Here is a perfect example.

We recently released the Habu 22 LR Target Pistol. It continues to be very well received, however a couple common questions began coming in.

*Which one is better? The Habu or the Black Mamba?"

*"So it's a Black Mamba except a different frame and grip?"

It didn't take us long to realize we may have made a mistake. We decided it's better late than never to try and fix this mistake. Going forward, we will be changing the Habu name to Mamba-TF with the TF simply referring to the target frame. We feel this more easily aligns the pistol with what it is.

This change will also help eliminate confusion going forward on which one is "better." It isn't a case of which one is better but which one suits you, the shooter! The Black Mamba features a more conventional 1911 style grip while utilizing the Ruger® MK IV™ 22/45™ polymer frame, whereas the Black Mamba-TF features a Target 22 style grip while utilizing the Ruger® MK IV™ standard aluminum frame. The Mamba-TF also notabley features our new, incredibly durable, Volthane Grip.

You can't go wrong either way!
