No Detail Can Be Overlooked!

"When will my order ship?

It seems that everywhere we turn something is backordered - firearms, ammo, and just about everything else in today's world. Like you, I can become easily frustrated when my order is delayed.

Who knew microchips ran the world? It seems everything from trucks to computers are all waiting on this all important microchip.

We aren't battling the microchip issue but we can relate. Many of the companies we partner with, from anodizers to resin companies, are experiencing delays. We are doing our best to work through these issues. Our technicians and machinists are in the shop working more hours than ever.

The one thing we will not do is take a shortcut or skip a step to speed up the process!

Preview of: Laser Hardening In Action

For example, it would be easy to not send our barrels out for laser hardening. It's a process that many customers aren't aware it's being done. It's tough to tell by looking at the barrel whether or not it's been laser hardened. We had excellent performance for many years prior to the laser hardening process, and we would be confident in our product without this step. Cutting this step would save 4-5 weeks on lead times, reduce cost, and allow us to fulfull orders a little quicker. There's one problem though - we aren't built like that. Once we know there is a better way, there's no going back.

Believe me, we want to be able to ship orders as fast as they come in. However, it's more important to us we ship you a product made to the best of our ability.

To reduce lead times we are currently adding equipment, team members, and being as resourceful as we can. I am confident we will begin to see improvement sooner than later.

I would rather apologize for a lead time than have to apologize for a product that failed to meet your expectations of what a Volquartsen Firearms product should be.
