The Evolution of Aftermarket Parts

The aftermarket parts world has definitely evolved over the last 30 years. If you've just recently joined us, you may not know that our roots are in the development of aftermarket parts. We make internal components, barrels, and stocks for a variety of firearms most notably the Ruger® 10/22® rifle and Ruger® MK series pistols.

Over the years, the one constant has been our desire to continually seek out new processes and techniques to manufacture the best parts we can. From different polishes and finishes to implementing wire-EDM manufacturing to hold precise tolerances while parts are cut.

To provide crisp, clean, and creep-free trigger pulls on the Ruger® MK series pistols, we utilize a Micro Machining Process (MMP TECHNOLOGY®) on our sears.

This process allows us to deburr, polish, and treat the sear to achieve a surface finish not previously attainable. This mirror-like finish is crucial in achieving the smoothest trigger-pull possible.

While it's true, not all parts are created equal, we don't spend a lot of time comparing our parts to the parts of other manufacturers. To us, that's energy wasted. We prefer to focus on continuing our research, trying new processes, keeping up with new technology, and most importantly listening to you.

If you're interested in learning more about our aftermarket parts, the manufacturing processes we utilize, or where to start when it comes to upgrades check out the episode 38 of the No Excuse To Miss podcast.
