Cleaning Your Compensator

Lead-Pulverizer

This is one area, especially when shooting rimfire, where cleaning more often is better. You will notice the more often you clean your compensator, the easier it is to clean. Don't wait until the comp has so much buildup it requires power tools to break the lead loose.

You laugh, but we have seen this far too often. With the compensator removed, soaking it in penetrating oil is an effective cleaning method. It does take time but the penetrating oil will seep down between the lead buildup and metal and help raise it from the surface. There are a number of penetrating oils on the market. With detachable comps, an empty pill bottle filled with enough penetrating oil to cover the comp works.

When it comes to our Scorpion or Black Mamba LLV pistol compensators, look no further than our Lead Pulverizer. The Lead Pulverizer is specifically designed to clean our Scorpion and Black Mamba LLV pistol compensators. If you own a Cerakoted Mamba or Scorpion, it is our recommended way of cleaning.

CNC-machined from 416 stainless steel and then heat treated the Lead Pulverizer allows you remove build-up in minutes.

Please note this will require the knurled ring to be removed from the compensator.

You'll be back at the range shooting .22s in no time with the Lead Pulverizer.

This weekend, bring the entire family and don't be afraid to go through those thousands of rounds in an afternoon.
