A Harsh Realization - I Wasn't PreparedIt was late, and not only was I unfamiliar with my surroundings, but I was in a country I had never been to. I ventured out to find a phone charger that would work with the available outlets and that's when my lack of preparation hit me. I had become complacent with always relying on a firearm or, at worst, having a knife readily available -neither was a legal option with where I was. The longer I was out, the more uncomfortable and uneasy I became. Various scenarios and how I might react to them started to snowball in my mind. As I tried to replay action movies and various self-defense demonstrations I'd seen, I decided I needed to look at self-defense differently. Shortly after, the world shut down - there were no shows, events, or travel for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, I also put my commitment to leveling up my personal protection skills on hold. As things returned to normal and I started to travel again, it hit me I was in the same spot as I had been just a few years earlier. I was thankfully introduced to Tony Blauer through a couple of mutual connections. I learned about his work in personal defense over the last 40 years and how he approached training others. Tony's approach really resonated with me. His SPEAR system used the natural human startle flinch that we all have and weaponized it. It's easy to learn and there are no fancy moves. Tony has recently rolled out his Human Weapon Project, featuring his unique SPEAR system and I wanted invite you to check it out. It's a program designed entirely around YOUR physiology, kinesiology, and psychology, making it easy to learn and reliable under stress. Our team will soon be taking advantage of Tony's KNOW FEAR Webinar, which he's added as a bonus (along with two other bonus items) to the Human Weapon Project. As I mentioned last week, I realize this is a departure from what I usually share with you, but it's a topic I feel strongly about. There's so much more to protecting ourselves, our families, and our communities than simply carrying a firearm. As a thank you for joining me on this journey, use the code SCOTTV for a $100 discount. I hope you have a great weekend. Stay safe. Check out the Human Weapon Project PS: You can also read last week's email on Know Fear vs No Fear. |
