As manufacturers, we get excited every time we implement new technology - sometimes, more excited than we should be.

Some of you enjoy getting granular in the manufacturing and production processes; however, for others, you prefer to know what it'll do for you on the range.

No matter their interest level in engineering, I've never witnessed somebody concerned with what material their hammer was manufactured from as they put rounds down range. The bottom line is shooters are interested in accuracy, functioning, and overall feel, and how we get there is on us - not them!

Searching for the optimal way to do something makes it easy to get caught up in the latest trends. For example, I remember when we started seeing parts made from titanium. Its properties make it ideal for specific applications; however, as I looked around, parts were being offered in titanium even though there was no benefit from the more expensive material.

Our design process is simple - if a finish, process, or material provides an advantage, we will incorporate it into our production. Regardless of the hype, it only gets added if it provides a benefit.

Things like our laser-hardened breeches add longevity to the barrel and eliminate any deformation caused by a steel bolt slamming into the stainless breech.

DLC-coating our bolts improves cycling and reduces the maintenance required, allowing you to spend more range time and less time cleaning.

There are many ways to get there, but ultimately, performance is all that matters and will also be what we filter our manufacturing process by.
