Celebrate 10/22 With Parts Upgrades!Today is 10/22, and for rimfire enthusiasts, it can mean only one thing - the Ruger® 10/22™. It's incredible and a testament to the original design that you can look at an early 10/22™, manufactured more than 60 years ago and see that little has changed. There have been some subtle changes and manufacturing improvements, but the concept remains unchanged. As I reflect on our history with the 10/22™, I recall Dad telling me that the rifle's simplicity would make it perfect for aftermarket parts. It was the late 1980s/early 1990s, and only he and Jim Clark were doing anything based on the 10/22™. I always tell the story of Dad trying to sell a 10/22™ bull barrel to one of our early wholesalers, and they politely informed him that nobody in their right mind would spend $200 to replace a barrel on a 10/22™. Lucky for us, and 10/22™ owners everywhere, Dad was stubborn and stuck to his belief that there was a market, and the rest, as they say, is history. Nobody could envision what would become of the Ruger® 10/22™ aftermarket world. It's been almost 35 years since we introduced our first bull barrel and Target Hammer for the 10/22™, but even after all that time, we are having more fun than ever, not only manufacturing parts but also building rifles based on a design from more than 60 years ago. There's no better day than 10/22 day to upgrade your rifle!
