Today Is For Rimfire Enthusiasts!

Today is 10/22™, and for rimfire enthusiasts, it can mean only one thing - the Ruger® 10/22™.

It's incredible and a testament to Bill Ruger’s initial design of the 10/22™ to see how little has changed. Yes, there have been improvements, but the aftermarket parts we offer for today’s 10/22™ will more than likely fit one manufactured more than 60 years ago.

I remember the late 1980’s, when Dad was narrowing his focus to the rimfire market and felt strongly there was a market for aftermarket parts for the 10/22™. It may not seem like it now, but at that time nobody was offering parts for the 10/22™. It was Clark Custom and us.

It was such a new idea at the time; I remember Dad having trouble finding a barrel company interested in manufacturing a bull barrel for it. Finding somebody willing to do this was only the first step. He still had to convince our dealers that their customers would pay $200 for an aftermarket barrel for a semi-auto 22 LR.

Fortunately for rimfire shooters everywhere, Dad went with his gut and wouldn’t take no for an answer.

It’s safe to say that, even with that belief in the rimfire market, neither Dad nor anyone else envisioned what would become of the 10/22™ world.

It's been almost 35 years since we introduced our first bull barrel and Target Hammer for the 10/22™, but even after all that time, we are having more fun than ever, not only manufacturing parts but also building rifles based on a design from more than 60 years ago.
