06/26/2017 Update on Ruger MK IV Recall

Our testing is complete on our Accurizing Kit for the Ruger MK IV and the new safety that will be installed as part of the recall on the Ruger MK IV. It was our hope that our current Target Sear would work without modification but unfortunately that is not the case. A very slight modification to our sear is required for proper function.

So what's next?

• If you currently have a Volquartsen Accurizing Kit for the MK IV and you have had the recall done on your pistol:
  • You can send the Volquartsen Target Sear into us for modification. The only charge for this would be $5.95 for return shipping via USPS.
  • The complete frame can be sent to us for this modification. There is an install fee of $65, which includes return shipping.
• If you have a Volquartsen Accurizing Kit installed and have not had the recall done to your pistol:
  • You'll need to remove our kit, have Ruger perform the recall, then reinstall our kit (with the updated sear modification). If you would rather, we can handle this entire process for you. Simply ship us your frame, along with the factory parts, and we'll take care of all the details. Your frame will come back with the Ruger updates and our Accurizing Kit installed and ready to shoot. This service costs $100, including return shipping.

In all of our testing done with our kit and the original safety in the MK IV, we have not been able to duplicate any safety issue. However, we recommend that you complete the recall and receive the latest safety from Ruger.
