Build it Better

As Mr. Bodinson discovered, our slogan of "Build it Better" is more than just a catch phrase. It is our mantra that guides us in each and every product we design. As part of an ongoing series, we'll be sharing what we mean by "build it better" and how it benfits you as a shooter.

A perfect example of this is our LLV Competition Upper. This upper is also the foundation that the Scorpion 22 LR Pistol are built from.

Back in 2000 we introduced the first upper of its kind, the first generation of the LLV. It was very important to us that even though we were looking to reduce weight, we would not sacrifice accuracy or performance. This goal remained the same as we re-engineered the current version of the LLV Competition Upper. We were able to accomplish this by utilizing a stainless steel barrel and breech face. This accomplished both objectives for us - lightweight and accurate! We were able to start with the same stainless steel barrel blanks as found on our target rifles. The stainless steel breech face also provides the durability that competition shooters are looking for.

Something else you'll notice is that all of our uppers are either Type III hard anodized black or finished with a silver NP3Plus coating. Both of these processes are done for durability and longevity. We all know how easy it is to put thousands of rounds through a rimfire, and even more so for a competitive shooter, so we design and build everything with that in mind.

We've been accused of "over-engineering" products over the years, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
