Scorpion 22 WMR Q & A

22 WMR Scorpion up close

Our new Scorpion 22 WMR pistol started shipping in late July and we are filling orders as quickly as we can. This project, although longer than we would have liked, has been a lot of fun. I would be remiss without giving a lot of the credit on this one to my brother Nic, who has spent the better part of the last year getting it ready.

Now that we are shipping, there have been a few questions that seem to continually come up. If you don't see your question here, hit us up by email.

CCI 22 WMR BoxWhat type of ammo do you recommend? We have had our best performance from CCI A22 35 gr and CCI Maxi-Mag in both 30 and 40 gr.

What magazine does it use? The pistol ships with two 9-round magazines that are machined by us.

What is the thumbsaver feature on the magazine? This unique feature eliminates the need for using any sort of magazine speed loader as you simply slide the magazine button down and over into the the recess and it locks in place allowing for easy loading. Watch the thumbsaver in action.

Why doesn't the bolt stay open on the last shot? Due to the design and weight of the tungsten bolt, it will not remain open on the last round. Long story short, tungsten prevails over steel. There's no need to count rounds, though, as dry firing will not damage the pistol in any way.

Are there any reviews of this pistol? There are multiple articles and videos forthcoming on the Scorpion 22 WMR, and we will keep you informed on those as they become available.

22 WMR target from Louis Beatty How does it shoot? In a word - accurate! Louis Beatty sent us several targets just like this one shot with his new pistol.

What is the current lead time? We are currently 8 months out on new orders, but dealers will have them more readily available as we fill their current backorders.

Get your order placed today and be ready for spring varmint season!
