"Stuck" Hammer on a Ruger MK IV?

If you've ever built anything, you're probably familiar with that feeling of uncertainty you get when something doesn't look quite right.

We have a very common inquiry regarding the installation of the Accurizing Kit for the Ruger MK IV.

"Why when my hammer is pushed all the way down does it stay down and appear stuck (Photo A)?"

The good news is you did nothing wrong and there's no need to worry. This is normal and in fact operates identical to the factory parts prior to the installation of the new kit.

Pro tip: Make sure the hammer is in the raised position before installing the upper (Photo B).

If you have any additional questions regarding your Accurizing Kit installation, please don't hesitate to contact us.
