How To Take Down The Summit Rifle

How To Take Down The Summit Rifle
Learn how to take down our Summit rifle. This process is the same whether you have the 22 LR model or the 17 Mach 2 model.
Tools Needed
- 5/32" pin punch
- Rubber mallet
- A clean, non-slip surface, such as our Cleaning Mat
Disassembly
Step 1
Remove the stock from your barreled action.
Use the punch to remove the pins retaining the trigger group and then slide the trigger group out.
Use the punch to remove the recoil buffer from the rear of the stock.
Step 2
Place the receiver upside down. Pull the bolt handle all the way to the rear to retract the bolt. Carefully roll the receiver over and the bolt will drop out.
At this point, the bolt handle and cam can be rotated out to allow access for cleaning.
Assembly
Step 1
Place the receiver upside down. Pivot the cam back inside the receiver and then slide the bolt back into the receiver.
Once you have achieved proper alignment of the cam into the bolt, you'll be able to close the bolt with the bolt handle.
Step 2
Reinstall the recoil buffer.
Insert the trigger group and insert the pins to retain it.
Perform a function check on the barreled action.
Reinstall the stock.
